Prof. Sununta Siengthai earned her PhD in 1984 in Labor and Industrial Relations
from the Institute of Labor and Industrial Relations, University of Illinois at Urbana-

She joined as an Associate Professor at the School of Management, Asian Institute of
Technology (AIT), Thailand in 1999. She was made a full professor of the School of
Management, AIT in 2014 and currently serves as a visiting professor. Her teaching
has been in the areas of Organisational Behaviour and Structure, Managing Human
Resources in MNCs, Performance Management, Strategic Management and Comparative
Industrial Relations. Before joining AIT, she taught and researched at the School of
Business Administration, National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA),
Thailand and Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy, Thammasat University, Thailand.
Her research projects and activities at AIT focus in the areas of human resource
management and development as well as industrial relations in the New Economy. She
wrote chapters in HRM books and published in various international refereed journals
including International Studies of Management and Organization, Administrative Science
Quarterly and Journal of Workplace Learning, International Business Review, Research
and Higher Education Journal, Journal of Intellectual Capital, Journal of International Knowledge Management, International Journal of Educational Management, Journal of World Business, Journal of International Knowledge Management, International Journal of Innovation and Learning, World Review of Business Research, International Entrepreneurship and Management Journal, International Journal of Productivity and Performance Management, Foresight , International Journal of Managing Projects in Business , Asian Journal of Management Research , The Learning Organization Journal, International Journal of Project Management, as well as many conference proceedings.

Prof. Siengthai is a member of International Industrial Relations Association (IIRA),
Social Science Association of Thailand and Training and Development Association of
Thailand. She is an editorial board member of the following journals: Asia Pacific
Business Review (APBR) by Taylor and Francis; Evidence-Based HRM Journal (EBHRM)
by EMERALD; World Review of Business Research (WRBR as Associate Editor), by
World Business Institute; Research and Practice in Human Resource Management
