Dr. Yuosre Badir earned his Ph.D. in Management of Technology (2006) and M.S. in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (2000) from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL). He also received the degree of Master of Science in Project Management (1998) from the University of Putra Malaysia (UPM) and the Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (1993) from the University of Garyounis, Libya.
Yuosre Badir joined the School of Management (SOM), at Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), as Assistant Professor, in September 2008. He is currently the Coordinator of the Ph.D. Program at SOM-AIT. In addition, Dr. Badir is also the Team Leader of AIT Thematic Area “Innovation and Business Models for Green Economy.”
Prior to coming to AIT, he was Post-doctoral Fellow at Tokyo Institute of Technology, Research Associate at the College of Management of Technology at EPFL, Visiting Scholar at New York University, Lecturer at the European University in Geneva, and Research Assistant at UPM. He also was consultant for various high-tech startups in Switzerland. In July 2010, Dr. Badir co-founded a consultant company in technology development, assessment and management in Zurich, Switzerland.
Yuosre Badir’s research and teaching interests include Innovation & New Product Development, Strategic Management, Technological Projects Management, Organization Theory and Design, and Hybrid Management. He has published his research in the Research Policy, International Journal of Technology Management, International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management, Project Management Journal and several other journals. He has also presented his research in several international conferences including the Academy of Management (AOM), Strategic Management Society (SMS), IEEE International Technology Management, International Associate of Management of Technology (IAMOT), and PICMET. Yuosre Badir has also co-guest edited several special issues of international journals on innovation and new product development across networks of strategic partners and hybrid innovation management.
